Below are some illustrations I did recently for a Motion Study about the 12 signs of the Zodiac. I had originally intended for the project to be a series of detailed pencil illustrations, but the project took a different direction.
After some sketching, I started rendering the Zodiac signs in a geometric stylization. Each group of signs has a corresponding element (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water), so I tried to capture that element in the color scheme.
After determining in what order I wanted the signs to transition, I started to create storyboards to plan the animation.
